Ms. Barrett
Hi class! My name is Lauren Barrett. I am from wild and wonderful West Virginia. I majored in Deaf Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After college, I moved to NC. I have a Master's Degree in Reading Literacy from East Carolina University. Reading has always been a great love of mine. On top of it being enjoyable, it is extremely essential and valuable. It is the way we find out new information and navigate the world around us. I hope from my classes to pass on to you reading strategies that will make you a better reading. My goal for you is to explore the many areas of literature and apply the information to real world experiences.
On a personal note, I have two great parents and a younger brother, Kyle. My wonderful husband's name is James and recently I became a mom to a sweet son, Henry. I enjoy running, traveling, reading, and writing. I'm looking forward to working with you all.
